La Francesca

Distances: 150 km from Salerno, 380 km from Rome, 900 km from Milan.

Travel on the motorway A3, Salerno-Reggio Calabria to the exit Padula-Buonabitacolo.

Turn left after the exit then, after less than 100 metres, turn right (direction Sapri). The state road 521 takes you from here to the sea with a travel of 36 km. Only the first 15 km are on the old state road and cross the villages of Buonabitacolo and Sanza. Just after Sanza, a fast road has been recently opened (follow the arrows to Sapri and Policastro B.). At the end of the highway, turn right, where directions to Scario can be found.

After one km turn left (direction Scario). When arrived in the village, it is sufficient to follow the arrows, tanking into account that La Francesca is after the village and it is therefore necessary to pass a small hill.

This stretch of road is not fit for cars with bulky trailers. It is better to leave the bigger boats in the port of Scario before reaching La Francesca.

It is also possible to arrive by train: La Francesca has anything you may need and you will not miss the car.

The main express trains (with sleeping cars and berths) and almost all the intercity trains stop at Sapri, at only 15 km from La Francesca. From there it is possible to take a taxi (approx. cost 40,000 lire).
