Greenhouse effect, gas emissions, global climatic changes, energy production, these are big issues that involve all of us, and where tourism has perhaps a light weight.
But also in this field La Francesca has tried to give its contribution.
We have been among the first ones to fit low energy consumption lamps for almost all the most common uses.
The old and energy-eating incandescence lamps have been limited to the situations in which they are lighted for a smaller amount of hours.
Also the two big lamps lighting the bay have been accurately selected among those having a lower consumption.
Please do not leave lamps lighted during the day and turn off the useless ones to contribute to this target.
Also water heating, perhaps representing the highest energy consumption in a structure like our, contributes to emissions damaging the climate.
To limits these emissions we have adopted a medium temperature hot water distribution system (40°C).
It is a compromise between the right requirements of a comfortable shower and the respect of the environment.
Hot water arrives to your tap quickly, and we ask you not to make it flow uselessly.
If this does not occur, inform us immediately because there probably is a fault.
Among the projects we want to realise in the short term there is the use of sun energy and heat pump for water heating in order to further reduce the energy consumption.
We want to pay the utmost attention to the environmental issues. The results may be seen in the future years.
